Women are the fastest-growing segment of the incarcerated population in the United States.
Women of Worth WOW is a nonprofit organization and is on a mission to support women at every stage of their journey, from before incarceration to their time after release. We are driven by the urgent need to address the over 600% increase in this population over the past four decades.
Unfortunately, these women and their families often go unnoticed by society. It's time to shed light on the fact that more women are being sent to jail than ever before, and we need to start talking about why this is happening and what can be done about it.
Women of Worth WOW is dedicated to providing these women and their loved ones with the information, resources, and support they need to navigate the difficulties of incarceration and reentry into society. Join us in this important conversation and help us give these women the attention and support they deserve! Women of Worth raise awareness by providing information, resources, and support for previous, current, or past incarcerated women and their families.
These women are part of an invisible society. We need to raise awareness that women are going to jail in larger numbers than ever and start a conversation about why this is happening and what options.
